You do not have to do this on your own. Once she meets with you and you share your vision with her, her plan is to be sure that it os everything that you hoped for and more.
Most people worry about whether the planner is too expensive and/or unaffordable. The cost of securing a planner varies widely and most people can afford to hire someone to help them with at least a portion of their big event. Keep in mind that many of the discounts you receive from having a good planner will offset many of the expenses that you will incur creating your event on your own.
